What are good examples of M&A bringing in amazing leaders, new products, or nucleus for innovation at NON tech companies? E.g. retail, beauty, commerce etc.?

If you're right, one reason is enough. Simply, Walmart overpaid and the jet acquisition has not allowed them to become a serious amazon competitor.
