Other than Netscape and Snap, are there examples of where an incumbent really damaged a startup that hit escape velocity and was worth over $1 billion?
Some examples that sort of fit: Standard oil made this a practice Amazon and http://diapers.com Facebook killed Vine Aereo was killed by incumbents Yahoo killed Tumblr Walmart killed kmart I'm sure there are some good china examples but cannot think of any
