Someone who works for me managed to learn a bit of engineering type stuff (complicated google sheets formulas) after coming from a non-technical marketing background, but in general this definitely works easier the other way around (assuming no autism).

For a lot of people, it's just a confidence issue. If you give them the confidence to try comp sci or other technical shit, they can handle it.
