      Someone who works for me managed to learn a bit of engineering type stuff (complicated google sheets formulas) after coming from a non-technical marketing background, but in general this definitely works easier the other way around (assuming no autism).

      For a lot of people, it's just a confidence issue. If you give them the confidence to try comp sci or other technical shit, they can handle it.

          I think the dirty secret of programming is just sheer bloody-mindedness, to keep poking at shit and map out how it actually works. That and pattern-recognition.
