What's the most effective way to figure out what neighborhoods in a foreign city are enjoyable places to live? The best I can come up with is plot the Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Weworks and check those out...

I love sterile neighborhoods. Nothing better. I used to live in Queens bro. And just FYI, San Francisco is not at a typical city in the United States. SF/Chicago/New York/Philadelphia...there are very few like this.
