I definitely don't. Here's how this works: 1. We're all eccentric motherfuckers 2. Eccentricity does not cause success 3. Some people become successful and realize that hiding their eccentricity is a cost and being eccentric does not endanger their success.

4. Therefore, they start doing whatever the fuck they want. As an example, Taleb seems to imply he's successful because he blocks everybody and starts fights based on honor. When in reality, he'd be successful regardless. His books are just good.

Btw I don't think Taleb implies the above, i think his argument is more about success is enabling him to behave this way. Which is what you say.
