Lots of talk recently about regulating big tech co's. Ironically, some these seemingly invincible co's are self-destructing. Amzn -> sponsored listings/fake reviews; FB -> trust/privacy issues. No competition or regulation required. "Most businesses die by suicide, not homicide"
Closest historical analog to facebook and amazon is a traditional market, like a bazaar. They existed in the same place and in the same way without disruption for 1000s of years. It's possible that network effects monopolies are less susceptible than other tech companies.
