I'm skeptical, unless there is self-driving tech wildly better than what I've seen. It seems to do fine in California, and on interstate, but it is terrifying on partly snowy, inconsistently marked secondary roads.
I might be wrong about the rate at which automation will overtake the need for truckers. 1. Trucks can self-drive on simple, rural highways, in good conditions 2.
