This guy wrote this book about how entrepreneurs are relentless and don't give up and find a way. I participated in startup competition and I lost my region, so then I did a different region, and finally I got in through New Mexico. In person he shit on me for doing that.

So what I'm trying to say is that if you want to get funding, you need to look and talk the part, despite what they say. The people who get funded are the best salesman, not the best entrepreneurs or product developers.

Thanks this is very helpful to know. Didnt know you tried YC btw. But yeah makes sense, i heard from other ppl too you basically have to wear a hoodie and a black tshirt with a linux joke to get funding these days.
