Is there any incremental evidence that AI is *actually* taking jobs? I haven't heard of any team being laid off due to AI/automation. On the other hand I have read plenty of stories of lots of humans being hired to review content because algos alone can't do the job.
This isn't AI because, as I understand it, computers with traditional algorithms were already better than humans, but chess-playing computers definitely reduced the need for chess teachers.

I think there are many other examples like this, but I can't think of a recent AI innovation replacing some type of human work, yet.

AI has impacted traders bigly, both buy/sell side. Some big execution teams are now just two folks monitoring the execution algo, for example. But it's possible that the net job impact is still not that big as the early adopters are hiring quite many computer engineers.
