Gotta get to Hyderabad though!
Don't know much about the glass that goes into TV's but I'd be surprised to learn that they can't get it locally. Lot of windshields made around there, I would think. How's Chennai!!!!

The glass is 0.7 mm thick, and it has to be optically flat on both sides. Corning has a "fusion glass" process for making it. It's too thin to handle by hand. Much, much harder than windshields.

Corning's not too far away though right? They're based in Albany, NY and may have a closer plant?
