      3- WHT I LEARNED IN 2018 (cont, 2 ) Also learned that "PhD" researchers who BS about "IQ" (and RACE) don't get that if IQ correlates to performance at 50% (the beeeeeesssst of cases), that it can only explain less than 16.7% of said performance. Idiots.

      Probability of above avg perf is 0.5 (assuming a symmetric distribution like gaussian). Probability of above avg perf on the condition of above avg IQ assuming 0.5 correlation and both gaussian is 0.67.

          The formula is in Talebs thread i linked above. Its a bit complex, you derive it from the formula of the gaussian distribition plus the definition of correlation. I didnt double check his math btw.
