Strength over a certain point offers no survival advantage otherwise everyone would be strong (parroting @davidboxenhorn point about IQ). BUT there is still a wide Gaussian distribution of strength levels. Over time why aren't weak (or retarded) pple weeded out?
We're not optimized for individual survival. We're optimized for species survival. Perhaps weaker people have better endurance. If we were all geniuses we'd have no one to lay brick. If we were all 6'4" Adonis males, the village might be able to sustain us...etc

Why while on a one on one basis strength is better (or more attractive) we need the rest of the bell curve to survive and thrive as a zpecies/group.
