The longer I'm in business the more I realize nothing stays the same. What's been making you money, stops making you money and then you have to find something else. You have be constantly reinventing yourself and, quite frankly, it ain't easy.
To boot, you whiff one time and it can kill (or at least greatly hobble) the whole company. See Microsoft, Kodak, etc. etc. and it's not just in tech. If you were selling hardgood retail and missed the Amazon wave, you got owned.
