Ethiopia I think can say something pretty close (which is a great way to troll China btw). Why can't we say the same about italy or Greece?

I agree with first 3 sentences, disagree with second two. China has ongoing disputes or has had wars with all the following countries: Japan, India, USSR/Russia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Korea. They also lord over a people who are clearly not Chinese (新疆人) and landgrabbing the SCS.
Every single powerful country goes imperialist. The Chinese will be no different. The reason why they have not already in recent history is that they've lacked the military prowess and power to do so.
