SO Amazon is saying they cannot make money selling products under $15. The weakness of online marketplaces is that if you purchase multiple items, they may come from multiple vendors. Each vendor has postage & fulfillment.

Amazon is duplicitous. They make plenty of money on items that are $14.99.

What do you think their gross profit margins are? They are pathetic. Fulfillment, packaging, etc they do not make money

It depends. On 1st party, I agree.on 3rd party they have amazing margins and one of the best businesses in the world. 1st party is a loss leader for 3rd party. They put out articles about how they're not making money to obfuscate regulators from the monopolistic truth.

Amazon’s financial picture is far from ideal. Without advertising and cloud... they would be losing money. Prime is a financial boondoggle

I don't believe that's right. Do you know what 3rd and 1st party selling is on Amazon? If not, then it's easy to see things that way but once you understand that amazon is a marketplace, you understand that they're a money printing press.
