1) Scale is not really much of an issue with online commerce. Why? Spotify, the cloud, email, text, etc. While scale will lower some marginal costs, this is not the #1 problem facing online marketers.

Instagram is not a vertical, it is a platform. As for scale, you can do $25,000 a month and make money if you employ sound economics. Customer acquisition can be cut dramatically by partnering. If you sell pet supplies, partner with pet content sites...

Molson, Instagram is fine to use as long as you do not rely on it. Social media platforms are fragile and if you spend money to further your business, you most likely are overpaying....which cuts margins of course.
