Not just because of a more sedated Syrian conflict?

I think a lot of the 2015 wave of illegal immigrants simply went around it and entered the EU through another country. The subsequent decline has a bunch of factors, e.g. EU deals with Turkey and Libya for them to handle refugees.

They entered in Croatia then Slovenia. But man, is it impossible to find reliable info from that incident. All i got was left and right propaganda pieces, usually from before the wall was built.

This is what has become of our media in the USA too. ...or it has always been this way and we never knew! I don't know the borders of Hungary well enough to have an opinion, but a wall in the u.s. would certainly lower the flow of migrants. Whether it's worth the cost? Dunno.
