And when you're accused you are innocent until proven guilty and have the right to a fair judicial process. If you're wrongly accused, consider suing for libel or slander.

I know it can be extremely difficult, but if you know that a crime was committed and who committed it with certainty, you should report it, at the time. If you don't, it's likely that the person who committed the crime will do it again, until they are reported.
