Are you even sure you'd want to retool it? I mean...their stores are still cash cows so they need to keep getting goods to them, so it sounds like they need to add capacity, in a different way to these locations - and then, what's the synergy?
If I were Doug McMillon, I would: 1. Team up with all the other marketplaces to cross-list everything to increase goods on my site 2. Use my pacs to regulate Amazon 3. Lower my referral fees to 0 like Alibaba and make all my money off advertising like BABA
