For all the legitimate outrage of Trump appearing to be in Putin’s pocket... ...remember that China remains by far the most significant national security threat to the United States.
Kaiser, I think you'd argue that both threats are overstated, but do you really believe that an aging country with a stagnant economy is a greater threat than economically strong, ascendant, and equally if not more authoritarian/dictatorial China?

Actually, I wouldn't argue that the Russia threat is overstated. All available evidence points to active efforts at undermining our very epistemology, exacerbate racial tensions, and attack core institutions. China's influence ops are defensive, clumsy, and ineffective.

Not sure what "undermining our very epistemology" means, but what's Russia's angle for exacerbating racial tensions and attacking core institutions? What's the point of them spending government revenues to do this?

I'm not in Xinjiang so I don't know what's happening there, and Russia did invade Crimea, but is anything happening in Russia as bad as what seems to be happening with the cult of personality and Islamic internment?
