@davidgraeber? One argument is that large corps are analog to feudal systems, you are compensated not bc your work but bc your boss has an incentive to grow his department. If true you might get paid more so your boss can boast a larger budget.
Haven't read it but familiar with the concept. IMO, we allow too much industry consolidation which encourages oligopoly profits and this kind of crap.
