I would say it works with a large corp but not with a startup (unless they have millions in funding). I dont know much about low aspiration SMEs though. Probably compensate with other stuff?

Haven't read it but familiar with the concept. IMO, we allow too much industry consolidation which encourages oligopoly profits and this kind of crap.
