It seems like so many political arguments are about more govt or less govt, but really the question is better govt or worse govt. The problem is of course that the way govt workers are incentivized govt is incompetent, so less basically is better.
As an entrepreneur, it's odd for me to say, but there definitely a whole bunch of places where govt should be sticking their noses: Antitrust, food safety, transportation, etc. The problem is they do such a shitty job, in a lot of cases, we might just be better off without.
