Yes, you are correct, I realized just after I sent it, but your brain doesn't see it until its to late. Only about 10% of patients have waist/height < 0.5, and when measured in "non-diabetics" > 50% have IR as measured by HOMA-IR (RR < 2)pic.twitter.com/xD1qO9NarV
Fwiw, I had such a low waist to height ratio but had gastro problems until I stopped eating certain foods. I suspect that a lot of "Crohn's" for which intestines are often removed can be cured by simple diet changes.
