      According to US census data, it's indian americans, who have the highest median income of any ethnic group. Nigerian Americans make more on average than white people but as Jamie rightfully pointed out there is an immigration selection bias to account for.

      I don't know much about that, but I do conjecture that many Indian immigrants are not educated. For example, the Indians who come over to run hotels in random parts of the United States probably did not graduate from IIT.
