Capitalism fixed China. Trust is a big component of well-functioning capitalism. The cultural revolution killed trust. Therefore, I disagree.
Don't strawman me. Capitalism fixed China. In order to function well, capitalism needs trust. China is a low trust society. If China had higher levels of trust, they'd be even better off. A high trust society with communism both does not work and will not be high trust for long.
