Just found out my WebVR project 'Button' won the "Best Other (new product, service, etc.)" category in the Amazon Sumerian AR/VR Challenge hackathon. I'm stoked.
's birthday.
She told me she doesn't want anything, but if you could wish her a happy birthday and retweet this asking others to do the same it would mean the world.
One of our first dates...
ARGO for a test drive this evening at the AR/VRA meetup. Really impressed with the amount of standalone compute / hardware they have packed into a very small package.
Tonight I'll be hopping into iRacing with the Penny Arcade league - We're doing GT3s at Red Bull Ring and I love RBR in the Ferrari 488 EVO GT3, so feel free to drop by the stream and bag on my horrible driving. Stream is live shortly after 7PM Pacific ~
I love how every time I pull the Quest 2 out of the clamshell to use it both batteries (headset internal and deluxe strap external) are stone dead despite me 'shutting it down' via the power down menus before putting it away and making sure all auto-wake features are disabled.
Hey middle aged entitled white guy in the silver Merc SUV tearing through traffic throwing empty drink cups out of your window accompanied by lots of middle fingers and neckvein level screaming.
You sure leave a large digital footprint for somebody intent on being an asshole.
This is me after 1 dose of Pfizer on 1/5/2021 in the hospital. I was a very healthy 45 year old who managed a surgery center. Two years later I am still having major issues
This mini-truck rocked up to the Cars and Coffee event and hit me right in the childhood. These were all the rage when I was in high school, and this one was period correct down to the pull-out Alpine head unit.
Well, Amazon finally sent me notification that they're shutting down Sumerian as of February 21, 2023 and moving to Babylon.js-AWS Amplify.
Kinda sad Sumerian never caught fire. It was one of the best browser-based WebXR publishing tools, I really enjoyed using it.
All websites and applications need a, "Not now... Not ever" button/checkbox.
It will never happen, but a guy can dream.
Example: Fighting with the Amazon Music UI to get to MP3s I already own and should be able to play through the web player. Every move triggers this popup...
Today is the 3 year anniversary of buying the stupid little car after renting an #ABARTH 595 in Italy and blasting up and down the Amalfi Coast.
Can't buy 595s in the US, we get the base model 500. So I've spent the past 3 years building my own 595, and today it got the badges.
It's almost like spending the last 30 years saying whatever the hell we want with no repercussions whatsoever on an interconnected network of systems has conditioned humanity that an outwardly aggressive and hostile toxic personality is a positive trait in the real world.
With that said, it's been a hot minute since I've got any seat-time at all. So I'll be hopping into a practice session with the Penny Arcade league at Daytona. Stream is up, I'll be hopping in shortly, drop by and say Hi ~ https://youtu.be/gpz8So8Ygu4
you did a horrible job repaving 101 and now we're all paying for your incompetence. WTF are you doing with the 17 billion a year we give you? Because you've not spent a red cent learning how to lay flat asphalt that lasts any length of time. Do better you clowns.
UPDATE: Vehicles are lined up on the shoulder of northbound Highway 101 in Redwood City after they were damaged by a large pothole. Some lanes of NB 101 have been reopened. http://nbcbay.com/ygjHnks
I am absolutely tickled that there are so many modified ABARTHs at the Tokyo Auto Salon this year. Even HKS built a car to showcase their new products.
JFC, what the hell is it with some people who apparently have no aptitude for common sense or even the basic problem solving skills the universe has bestowed on a fucking cabbage...
Who ties your shoes for you in the morning and makes sure your pants are not on backwards?
Well, that's at least one thing going my way. The TFT display I bought off LKQ from a salvaged 2015 Fiat 500 Pop fired right up and talks to my US Spec ABARTH BCM a lot better than the UK TFT display did.
Nice to have functional TPMS once more.
There's an absolute monster of a thunderstorm headed towards BFVR Labs and bringing a lot more rain with it.
Currently dry in Santa Clara, but I'm suspecting that will change here soon. Livestream of the external cameras is online ~ https://youtu.be/yhTNByPJ0EI
Livestream of the external security cameras at BFVR Labs is online. If the floodwater makes it high enough to breech the shop I'll add the internal cameras to the feed ~ https://youtube.com/watch?v=EAv16CyzvBE…
Made it to BFVR Labs after a slow and steady drive down 101. Lots of standing water on the freeway, and lots of standing water in the streets around the shop. Rain is really supposed to pick up at 4AM, going to get the livestream up.
Stressed I won't be able to drive from SF to the shop tomorrow morning due to road closures. Going to hop in the truck, head down in a bit, make sure everything important is a few feet off the floor, set up camp, and stress out for the next 24 hours...
Since I seem to be doing third-party support for your drivers, let's call this one hour of billable service. My starting rate is 250 USD an hour, I'll mail a Net 30 invoice for services to 1455 Market St Suite 400.
