So many insane people in the comments trying to excuse this man’s actions. You can be poor and still have ethics. Theft is theft. I’d like to see these people rob a few of your belongings and see how you like it

The people robbing me of my wealth now are not poor people.

Yes, the ultra rich in this country take advantage of tax loopholes and all that shit. We get it. Everyone gets it. That’s a different topic. Stick to the topic which is about these laws in San Fran making it easier to rob stores like Walgreens.

Petty theft is a distraction. Why am I giving a fuck about Walgreen's wealth when you just admitted the ultrarich are robbing me?

It’s about following the rule of law. Walgreens takes advantage of tax laws set by politicians. They haven’t lawfully robbed anyone. We must respect the rule of law otherwise we create chaos. You have to look at the bigger picture

An unjust law is no law at all. An entire unjust system is no system at all. That's the even bigger picture. I'm not going to turn my scorn on poor people when the wealthy and powerful have been behaving unjustly.

We have a process to change laws that you don’t like. Go through the process. We’ve had so many laws change when following the process. You don’t get to take your entitled ass and fuck the whole system up just because you disagree with a few things.

The majority of Americans want stability in their lives. Yes, they see how fucked up the ultra rich are, but they don’t want to fuck up the whole system. Not everyone is some fucked up “burn it all down” anarchist like you that only thinks about their opinions

Listen, I get most people want stability, but that desperate grasping for stability will destabilize this already-worsening situation. I actually don't want to see it all burn down. I want it to thrive.

But the system is failing more and more people, and the supposed mechanisms for improvement are, too. This is what MLK Jr. meant when he said riots are the language of the unheard. So no, I don't care as much about the petty thief as I do for the grand thieves.

Especially when the petty thief is stealing from the grand thief. It's St. Augustine's pirates and emperors.
