    If you removed all public celebration of figures who, often by both contemporary criticism and modern standards, engaged in genocide, slavery, and other offensive acts, we would still HAVE HISTORY. No one proposes they are forgotten; the contrary, sir.

    This is so beautiful and made me cry what these people did in DC on 395. We are so tired of seeing black people murdered because of institutional racism. We all have to rise up and shut everything down until radical changes are made

    Yes, via the well-respected & long running democracy index the U.S. is no longer rated a full democracy. We were declining, but ⬇️ sharply after’16 for obvious reasons. Yes, you should worry this. And here is the 2019 report.

    The ramp that I descended after my West Point Commencement speech was very long & steep, had no handrail and, most importantly, was very slippery. The last thing I was going to do is “fall” for the Fake News to have fun with. Final ten feet I ran down to level ground. Momentum!

    Delete your account Jeff. This came out of a Republican controlled Senate committee on a strong bi-partisan vote. I know it’s tough for you to be on the right side of history when it comes to the Confederacy, but you should give it a try.
