    Google's been a powerful competitor, with near- monopoly assets like search, for many years.... thus MS' decision. also i encourage you to try Firefox Quantum if you haven't, there's no reason for Firefox to be out of favor today ...

    Firefox fell out of favor a long time before MS decided to switch what makes Edge work ... this graph *pretty much mirrors* the change in browser usage ... Google Chrome vs Firefox

    Redefining "fit" is so key, especially since we're seeing data that suggests discomfort because of different perspectives can lead to higher performing teams. So one aspect will be all of us learning to deal with, and respond positively to this discomfort.

    And even creative thinkers often prosper when they have tools, vocabulary, perhaps debate and learnings which help them to discover things for themselves. And even creative thinkers prosper less if they've been taught all their lives there is nothing to discover.

    to those who ask why expand STEM beyond precise technical and job skills: the goal is increasing understanding, vocabulary and toolkits for thinking about the impact of technology on life and on humanity. Requires developing new curriculum.

    Teaching my web students HTML, and I love to show what the first web page looked like Aug 6, 1991. Seems like just a few years ago to me; but almost none of my students were born yet Yet at least 100 years of change have taken place in between. Amazing
