    I need your help coming up with a great story! I’m sure people at work tomorrow are going to ask me what happened to my face. I tripped and fell is so boring. What should I say instead?

    Tripped on my way to a charity event. Did a great job of rubbing my face into the sidewalk. I even found gravel stuck in my teeth! 3 hours and lots of $ later, emergency room says nothing broken and no signs of concussion. Probably not a good time to take headshots though.

    I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It’s not the mainframe that needs modernization. It’s your applications (and your processes). Good thing we offer lots of stuff to help. is a great source!

    Related, I was listening to a podcast the other day, and they talked about how there's not a need to "modernize the mainframe" (it's already hella fast, modern hardware), the Z DevOps work is modernizing *how people work on the mainframe*

    This thread is enlightening. The moral of the story, if you want to make the world better for people, start by listening to them.

    I was in this group chat for 2 weeks and it was going so well until the topic of race was brought up lol and me being the only person of color I spoke up. Now I'm about to get kicked out lmao I expected it though. "We're such in an inclusive progressive safe space" bullshiiiit
