It occurred to me the other day, finally, after observing yet another respected colleague get harassed by bad actors seeking to scare them into submission for personal gain, that unless they’re threatening your safety, you can just…ignore them. 
Oh if it’s someone else? For sure. But swarms of ppl saying the wackiest shit abt me for months and I only just realized that explaining why & how they’re wrong doesn’t help bc the point of harassment is…to harass you. You don’t actually need to engage w ppl set on hurting you!
