I'm a Millennial working a call center job and trying to feed my wife and kid in a pandemic that swept all my wife's job opportunities in her chosen field away from her the second she graduated. I would legitimately have gone under so long ago if not for my folks.
Oof. And you may have gone under, or you may have found a way to make it work somehow (probably at the expensive of your health)

Pretty much. I took my first call center job after dropping out of school with the intent that I could carry things and she could focus on her studies. She was better than me at the whole "student" thing. I still don't always make ends meet, and I've got a good paying job now.

Hell, I make more than most graduates I do know with 4 year degrees, and that's... fucked up. Seriously fucked up. And not enough to get you out of a 2-bedroom apartment in Oregon.
