What parents?
lol right. I’ve been in contact with mine lately bc of my grandparents but otherwise limit our interactions to once a year or so
I'm a Millennial working a call center job and trying to feed my wife and kid in a pandemic that swept all my wife's job opportunities in her chosen field away from her the second she graduated. I would legitimately have gone under so long ago if not for my folks.
Oof. And you may have gone under, or you may have found a way to make it work somehow (probably at the expensive of your health)
Yes! Mine haven’t helped me in many years though, thankfully I’ve been in a really good spot in my life for a while now & I’m at that point where I get to spoil my parents & pay them back for (most) of what they’ve done for me & it feels so good.
No father help bc trash, but my mother was planning on getting a new car at some point and when mine turned out to cost more in repairs than what it was worth, she forced me to donate it and gave me her old one when she purchased a new one. Only time I've ever been so lucky
So fucking happy with this better old ass car too

My mother, had me pay rent at 20 during college as a "lesson" and not as contributing to affording where we were living, would, when I came up short (cause I payed my own college, car insurance and gas from a <28hr a week job) would tell me to pawn my things instead of help.
