I love to be on that call as well, and would love to co-edit your piece Sinnamon and I think I'd like to write something as well. Maybe we could all have a little signal-based writing group to support each other

Neither am I. It always left be baffled that people couldn’t just say what they really meant, so that’s what I did in college. I either got lambasted or told “I was a very good writer”. I think the way @thotscholar handles “academic” writing is absolutely brilliant.

Academic writing is so restrictive it’s annoying. Especially if your brain works in a disorganized way.

It is the worst! It sucks the ever-loving joy out of writing. I will say, for this series, essays would need some citations and all the fantastic social analysis SWrs always bring but none of the other formality foolishness.
