    How have I not come across any quant research on racism in popular pornography? Taboo sexual attraction + racism + racism increasing enjoyment of taboo sexual attraction is a HUGE anecdotal connection I keep encountering & I don't know why more people don't talk about this.

        same impression! Popular straight porn in and of itself is already underrepresented (compared to gay, alternative, 70s porn). Quant research so limited esp due to disciplinary background of porn scholars. And racism.. oh well. Few dare go there. A taboo within a taboo. It’s sad

        There isn’t. There’s racism in *any* pornography. There’s popular pornography power differentials. There’s *qualitative* racism in pornography that includes popular titles. However, there’s no quantitative research on racist terms, lines, or characters in popular pornography.
