Every time I read this, she reminds me of Avital Ronnell - same sauce they are on. I’m sorry for this saga. I am sorry you aren’t in a place yet where saying to your colleagues ‘I’m a sex worker’ would take power away from her and we, as academia, are at fault for that.

Because if this industry supported sex workers and we can be sex workers and not have that hang over us (I say us because I too once did sex work and am considering it again), her threat would be irrelevant.

When i compiled info on sex worker mutual aids for an academic client, i watched some videos on sex work in the pandemic and there are so many additional difficulties. Like having menz beg for sex workers to spit on them and give them COVID. Menz will always be menz.
