I really rock with Osaka because the stance that “this job is not entitled to unlimited access to me and I’m not gonna sacrifice my mental health for this job” is an attitude I hope we can all embrace

I fully support anybody who determines that some aspect of what they’re being asked to do at work doesn’t sit right with their spirit, then chooses not to do it. At the end of the day, a job aint more important than your livelihood. If you have the flexibility to be choosy, do it

Addendum: i suddenly remembered them homophobic bakers and the homophobic county clerk who were like “oh noooo i cant do that for these gay people, it dont sit right with my spirit” so i feel the need to add a caveat that my support will be withdrawn if your spirit is prejudiced

We can’t all do what Naomi did bc we aint got millions of dollars. The structural conditions that prevent the vast majority of people from protecting their peace would need to change in order for us to do what naomi did, and thats what i hope for. I hope the conditions change
