Doxxing is the act of revealing previously *private* information online about an individual or organization. Examples include sharing their address, information about their spouse/spouse's employer, and identifying information about minor children. /2

None of it's okay, but sharing identifying details about minor children is particularly disgusting, and there have been past incidents of photographs of people's children being shared. /3

If someone's name was previous private information, it is absolutely doxxing. If I say your name is Jessica Parr in this reply and it is, then that's not doxxing. If your name is actually Sarah Lately and I reveal that here, it's doxxing. There's nothing complex here.
