The national media will tell you #MiamiBeach issued a state of emergency and shut down because of the crowds and some will lie and say it's because of Covid. That's only half the story. Here are some videos of what is really going on.
This happened TWICE at the same Resturantpic.twitter.com/n2aPnRlAHX

The fights are constant. Every day and night. At least 2 or 3 involve shootings. Mind you this is a 10 block by 3 block area. It's not that big. But wait....:there's more!!pic.twitter.com/ad2KQ8nmeK

The fights don't just end here. Oooh no they carry on to the airport. Like these two ladies in Fort Lauderdale. This one is my favorite by far because these 2 don't even care there's a cop there. But wait...there's more!!pic.twitter.com/EsUvwcxWD1

Another night another Resturant completely trashed. This time a man decides to use a woman's head as a basketball on the asphalt. This is why Miami Beach issued a state of emergency. It had zero to do with Covid and 100% to do with this type of NIGHTLY behaviorpic.twitter.com/OaGYoQtTqi

What you see here are 2 things. 1) over politicization of police work. The NAACP called Miami Beach PD racists last year and this is what happens when you don't let the police do their jobspic.twitter.com/8YEwIBEV9D

2nd and more importantly complete lack of foresight & planning by elected officials like
@MayorDanGelber & company. He spent more time this past year on CNN complaining about DeSantis than taking care of his own house. Cities get the leaders they deserve. Miami deserves betterShow this thread -
To be clear the MBPD are awesome. They deserve zero blame. But the city did not give them enough tools, like extra man power, to help them in this never ending battle. So that failure caused another government failure - closing the area down completely.

As you can see none of this has anything to do with Covid. None of it. Miami's hospitals are virtually empty vaccinations are now available to 40+ year olds. Covid had no thing to do with shutting down miami beach. These videos is why they did it.

For those claiming these are old, edited, whatever. I walk through this daily. I live and pay taxes on Miami Beach. It doesn't get any realer than this.

For those claiming this is "normal for spring break", it's not. And trying to normalize this helps no one This started to get real bad in 2019ish and is so bad even the police chief calls it the worse he has seen in 30 years. https://wsvn.com/news/local/miami-dade/brawl-outside-ocean-drive-nightclub-leads-to-shots-fired-drawing-concerns/ …pic.twitter.com/9VZBIwePBG

If after watching those videos and you think it's racist city officials that are the problem then you are the problem not the solution.

Update: after
@MayorDanGelber imposed an 8pm curfew and closed down the entertainment district things have gone from bad to worse. The "spring breakers" didn't just go home. No they went Into the residential neighborhoods and started to terrorize.pic.twitter.com/ycm1RiLSOqShow this thread -
This is from Meridian ave - just a few blocks from the entertainment district at 9-10pm last night. As you can see the "state of emergency" has NOTHING to do with Covid and everything to do with a failed city government grasping its last straw Miami Beach March 2021 folkspic.twitter.com/TCg9JpBfoo

Another update from
@MayorDanGelber's "paradise lost" A woman was drugged, gang raped and left for dead last night in a Miami Beach hotel room. But please media tell us more about how the state of emergency issued Saturday is Covid related. https://myfox8.com/news/2-greensboro-men-accused-of-drugging-raping-woman-in-miami-beach-who-died-in-hotel-room/ …pic.twitter.com/mUIGpq58Oz

Arrest data from the Miami Beach Police Department as of 3/22/21 48% of arrests are from Florida. Most Florida schools canceled spring break so one can only assume that a lot of those individuals are from Miami proper and not college students whatsoeverpic.twitter.com/lmL0iXGzr7

Looks like the Miami Beach spring breakers left Miami after the curfew was imposed and went to Puerto Rico. The Puerto Rican government used, once again, Covid as the excuse.https://boriquagato.substack.com/p/puerto-rico-curfew?r=2jqqr&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=email&utm_source=copy …
