He didn’t use the original recording. So therefore it’s an original cover of the song. And you didn’t read his whole tweet. On YouTube the publisher takes 100% while on Spotify a cover song just like his the publisher only takes 25% revenue

No they support musicians trying to make a living. If someone straight reuploads someone else’s song and still get money it’s fraud but it’s not it’s an original cover.

Also. There is a Reason Wierd Al isn't getting sued and shut down or demonitized. He went through the proper channels. He still makes music parodies.
