I couldn’t agree more. Empty virtue signalling is patronising. It is ‘patting the head’ of black people. I can’t bear it. What we all ought to be doing is questioning, for example, how do we get young black boys AND girls to become pilots? Let’s make it happen, together.

My sons school suggested to him he should have one hour computer time everyday. 7 hours a week, that’s almost a day.. What would be your recommendations as a good amount of time for children to spend playing computers? If this is something they really want to do..

I allow an hour per day (each child) of 'fun' screen time (computer not tablets) - how they use it is up to them but they only get 1 hour and the computer is in the school room so they're supervised at all times

The Instagram solidarity 'protest' is one of the things that absolutely irritates me. It's meaningless as far as I can see and talks to the individuals who more than anything
