If this doesn't 🔥BLOW YOUR MIND🔥 then, I'm sorry. Take a look? What do you see? A spider 🕷️walking in circles? Well, how about this .... there is NO spider! It is actually the tail of a horned viper 🐍 used to lure prey!

The journey through the Egyptian underworld was so fraught with danger — demons, fire, armed doorkeepers — that the traveler needed a guidebook. Now archaeologists have found one.

They come in the night: Drones — lots of them — flying in precise formations over the Colorado and Nebraska prairie. Sheriffs say they don’t know who’s flying the drones — or why.

This is a resurrection plant. It’s a desert plant that can survive almost complete desiccation. During the dry weather it curls into a tight ball, uncurling when exposed to moisture

For the next 10 days, we'll share some of our favorite clips from this year's MBARI ROV dives. Most hydroids grow in colonies, but are solitary like this giant Branchiocerianthus imperator. Can you see its tiny nudibranch stowaway?

Here's the most fantabulous stuff I've seen (and filmed) in 2019. № 1 Batillipes sp. marine , with its cephalic mechanoreceptors and chemoreceptors it goes sniffing like a bloodhound. from coasts of Cantabria. Video:

This fragment of pottery from New Mexico made by the Mimbres culture (1000-1150 A.D.), helps tell us about trade networks. Macaws don’t live near NM, so their images on pots & their skeletons at archaeological sites reveal that they were brought there via ancient trade.
