I'd love to. I suspect the MP in question is not as in to men's rights as they say, but I risk losing even their voice in Parliament if I out them. And they've done some good work. The answer to their assertion 'I really don't know why I bother' is 'Because you say you care'.

Your doing the right thing I think. It wouldn't really do any good if you did. More people would attack them and bam! they just keep their mouth shut from now on.
-
Yes, that's what I think too. But, needless to say, this is another MP who now has feet of clay as far as I'm concerned. Ranting at a member of the electorate isn't a good thing, particularly when you consider all the 'My Honourable Friend' nonsense MPs use to address each other.

Never assume MPs are ever on anyone's side but their own because they not. However, that doesn't mean that cannot sometimes be useful to us. The enemy of my enemy.....
-
It wouldn't be hard to work out the MP's identity. How many UK MPs speak up about men's issues at all?

Who was the MP?
-
It's an MP who (sometimes) speaks up for men's rights - a rarity in parliament as you know. I'm reluctant to reveal their name because I feel we risk losing their voice, but the e-mail they sent has me at such a loss I wanted to make people aware that this attitude exists.
-
Well they're clearly a complete waste of time judging by the response you got. Politicians will always bow down to the feminist lobby. The only one who doesn't is Trump, which is one reason they hate his guts.

It probably means they feel under attack from all sides and are not handling that at all well. Your question seemed reasonable to me their overreaction is quite startling, they should get some stress management.
