It's the first time you heard about it because there's no time to report it in between episodes of the lowest common denominator reality show we're all bring fed instead of being informed about things educated adults care about.

But, but...our coal's so clean! Methane, as a greenhouse gas, makes C02 look like an amateur. This was a murderous move on a planetary scale. So if economics slow it down, that's a good thing.
