I did an "internship" where our only compensation was our Atlanta townhouse rent being paid and we all worked from there

Starting to realize there are many dream pubs that my stories will never mesh with while there are others that just get me. I think I’m a happier writer when I stop trying to write stories that “fit” a mag and focus on finding the mags that love the stories I want to write

I used to have low self-esteem. Then at some point, whenever my brain said anything negative about me, I'd respond to it with "lol, lmao." My brain completely disregards all negative thoughts now & immediately dumps them into the trash. Feel free to use this in your own life.

Creatives need to remember that publishers, orgs like etc *will* use AI to save money at the expense of human creators if we don't all push back together and hard. They will PR-waffle about interrogating the modern whatever, but they will absolutely do it.

Because I've seen this sentiment a few times today: the WGA's list of demands doesn't mean that screenwriters think they deserve better than creatives in less protected industries. EVERYONE deserves those protections and they ARE possible across industries

AI is not artificial intelligence. It's an aggregator that uses statistical analysis and pattern recognition to identify elements of a photo, of writing, or whatever task it's being used for.
Think of how many people here on social media can't grasp that.
Neither can CEOs.
