    Year 3 of surveying pollinators at Wytham Woods, near Oxford, has pushed the list of hoverflies to 106 spp and bees to 85 spp. 2019 highlights included the furry hoverfly Pocota personata and the Hawksbeard Nomad Bee. We are also building up some great trend data.

    There are massive tunnels in South America that appear to have been dug by giant sloths. Some are big enough to drive a car into. The walls still bear the claw marks of long-dead beasts.
