Hey adults - YOU can talk to your boys about your values, consent, and how you want them to treat others. I can be hard, I know, but it’s crucial! Read “Will We Ever Figure Out How to Talk to Boys About Sex?” by in The NY Times for more support.

I talk about anal sex in my classes because: 1. It’s sex. 2. People have it. 3. It can transmit STIs. If you teach sex ed and don’t talk about anal sex, you don’t teach sex ed, you teach bullshit.

You can’t teach abstinence without talking about anal sex because abstinence is not engaging in oral, anal, vaginal sex or genital skin to skin contact. It’s impossible to be mature enough to learn about abstinence, but not mature enough to learn about the basic types of sex.

Episode 43 of the Six Minute Sex Ed podcast is out and it’s all about pubic hair. I answer five questions: What is pubic hair? When do people get it? What is it for? What does it look like? Is it safe to remove it? It’s level one, which means it’s perfect for any age of listener.
