Its probably some new currency and a new rep with a different Trader. Wouldn't be surprised to see a MASSIVE change to The Maw in 9.1, changing the scenery, dailies, WQ's, and NPCs
Makes sense what you're saying, please just no more rep farm.. doing it on 6 characters individually already has you questioning the meaning of life

Yeah I disagree with more Rep farm being a good thing. But the fact that the item no longer requires rep in 9.0.5 (From that Screenshot) and was shared as a response to "Do we reset stygia or not?" Thats the implication
