my sister literally lost her iphone 11 and couldnt recover the apple password as the email asked for her 2FA Authentication which is also on her lost phone. apple support is fukt
I wanna ask again if anybody has experience dealing with Apple's Password Recovery process? the support CAN'T help, they tell me I gotta wait. I'm literally locked out of my phone for TWENTY (20) days. How's this even possible in modern times? @AppleSupport

Perhaps you could take photo identification into the store? And have them clear it manually.

If there's an Apple Store near you, maybe you can use a device to sign in there to fix the issue. Sounds like it can only be recovered on an Apple device.

Let me play the devil's advocate, why would they allow me to sign in through some magical device there? I'm sure it'll look like I've stolen the phone besides providing info regarding my apple ID and being able to show the credit card linked to it.

This is completely standard protocol for many places with 2FA. If you go into the store they’ll tell you the same thing. If you need your phone you can submit a proof of purchase which will unlock it but you still need to wait for your account

Their support is pretty horrible. Only way i’ve had success was by using email to reset, and if your email is locked too you may have to just swap sim cards to another phone to get verification texts to get on your email. apple locks their devices down really tight :(

on the other hand, if your ID matches your apple account they may be able to help in person. Ive heard stories of employees not knowing proper protocol for this stuff, so it would be best to call a local store. best of luck to you

Will it let you perform a DFU restore on the phone and then you can try authenticating through your Apple ID email when you restart the phone?
